Does Imperial self-perform electrical work on commercial and government projects in New Jersey?

Yes. Imperial provides in-house electrical services as a licensed New Jersey Electrical Contractor, covering switch gear, fire alarm controls, medium voltage services, substations, and fire sprinkler systems. On the electrical scope of a New Jersey project, the firm you award is the firm on site, with New Jersey licensed personnel rather than a brokered subcontractor. Where Imperial does subcontract a trade, the sub is named in the proposal rather than after award, so an owner can verify who is performing each scope before signing. In-house electric work is also listed as a scope within Imperial's general construction services.

What construction management services does Imperial provide, and on what contract basis?

Imperial provides all phases of construction management from fee basis to GMP. The named scopes are scheduling services, estimating services, budget control, schedule control, document control, submittal logs and RFI logs, claim analysis, value engineering, pre-construction services, and quality and safety control monitoring. Document control, submittal logs, and RFI logs are treated as deliverables in their own right, because on a federal job the documentation is the record a reviewer reads at closeout. An owner can engage Imperial as a construction manager on a fee basis or carry the engagement through to a guaranteed maximum price.

Can Imperial help a public agency meet MBE and SBE procurement goals as a general contractor?

Yes. Imperial is a certified MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) and SBE (Small Business Enterprise) in New Jersey and can help meet those procurement goals as a prime contractor, as a consultant, or inside another firm's subcontracting plan. Certification is method-neutral, so the same standing applies under design-build, CM-at-risk, or design-bid-build delivery. Imperial also holds active Public Works Contractor Registration with the State of New Jersey, contractor prequalification with the Schools Development Authority (NJSDA), and a Notice of Classification with the Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). What is Imperial's surety bonding capacity for public construction work?

Imperial carries an approved construction surety bond program of $30 million single project and $125 million aggregate uncompleted backlog, written through IAT Insurance Group and its subsidiary Harco National Insurance Company. The single limit is the largest individual contract the surety will bond; the aggregate is the total bonded work Imperial can carry at one time. For award readiness, the number that governs is available capacity, meaning the aggregate limit minus bonded backlog in progress, so the confirmable version is a dated letter from the surety, not a figure in a bid narrative. Imperial provides a current surety letter on request.

What happens after Imperial is awarded a general construction contract?

A contract award does not authorize work to begin. It authorizes both parties to execute the written agreement; work is authorized only by a separate notice to proceed, issued once bonds and insurance are confirmed in place. Before mobilization the agency gets a named project manager and a written communication plan covering the weekly progress meeting, how RFIs and submittals are logged and turned around, and who has authority to sign a change. The first deliverables are documents, not physical work: the submittal register, a preliminary progress schedule, a project-specific quality control plan, a site-specific safety plan, a schedule of values, and written confirmation of key personnel.

Does Imperial provide pre-construction and constructability review services on public projects?

Yes. Pre-construction services are a named construction management scope, and Imperial brings design-phase constructability input, along with biddability and operability review, to public-sector owners under both design-build and design-bid-build. A constructability review checks the design set for buildability before it goes to bid, at each of the three design stages: schematic, design development, and construction documents. The deliverable is a findings log, with each item located to a sheet and detail and dispositioned before the set advances, not a letter of assurance. Because Imperial self-performs electrical in New Jersey, a major trade sits inside the review rather than depending on an outside sub to flag its own conflicts.
